Susan's Cupboard Magic

I've had some emails and comments on my blog asking what the magic cupboard treatment is so I had my Mother-in-law email me her "recipe." She says you should use the brands listed if you can because they work the best. But if you don't live near Provo I would suggest trying whatever brand you can find. But try it on the inside of one of your cupboards first to make sure you don't get any kind of discoloration or something.

l- Spray on a rag or directly onto cupboards- Howard's Orange Oil. Wipe & rub as if cleaning a window. this starts the break down of any grease, dirt, etc.

2- Pour Howard's Beeswax onto a #4000 steel wool pad and rub (going with grain of wood if possible) the beeswax onto the cupboards, use lots of elbow grease. Use a lot of beeswax. Let it stay on cupboards overnight if possible.

3- Next day, take clean rags and again spray Howard's orange oil wiping off the beeswax. Keep changing your rags so not to put dirt back onto the cupboards.

This is a method shown at one of the St. George Home shows a few years ago. The Howard's beeswax and oil can be purchased at Jones Paint and glass in Provo. I don't have the address right now, but it is kitty corner from the R.C. Wiley furniture outlet. The #4000 steel wool can be picked up anywhere and sometimes the oil too. It's the Howard's beeswax that Jones, Paint/glass carries that makes the stop there worth the while.
