Celebrating The New Year

We spent this New Years at my parents house. We typically base our New Year's party around a letter theme. You know...like on Sesame Street. This year's party was sponsored by the Letter C. We had tons of food that started with the letter C. Chips, Cookies, Chocolate, Crackers, Cheese Whiz, Chip dip, Carrot Sticks/Dip, Coke (of course!), cocktail weinies (I prefer to call them Little Smokies but we had to get Creative) and more that I can't remember. We also had activities that started with the letter C. We watched Alvin and the Chipmunks, the kids Colored, and played Charades.
This is my mom helping Garrett be a tree during Charades.

This is Zac trying to decide what to do during Charades. Zac's Kindergarten teacher thinks that he is a young Jim Carey...do you concur?

We also played the C game where you go around in a circle and name C words and have to remember all the previous C words. Ours went something like this Cat, Crumbs, Camera, Carpet, Cry, Curious, Cute, Cuddly, Crumpled, Crooked....etc.

The adults played Clue - Harry Potter style. Turns out my mom is pretty Crafty when playing Clue but apparently not Crafty enough!
Some of the other adults were too preoccupied with reading the book Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. We let them get away with reading at our party only because the book and author both started with a C, so therefore were a welcome addition to our C party.

Unfortunately, we were later met with several episodes of upChucking from our Cute Children. Good times. C you in the New Year!
