Our sweet little Lexi turned 7 on the 24th. Hard to believe I know! Most people mistake her for much older though because she's taller than most 9 year olds. She doesn't get that from me but you already knew that!
Saturday we had a friend birthday party for her. It was a Flip Flop theme. Not sure where that idea came from but it turned out to be pretty fun. First we decorated Flip-flops with strips of fabric. I thought they turned out really cute. Then we had pizza, cake (a flip-flop shaped cake - it's a size 13 just like Tyson in case you were wondering) and icecream.

Then we opened presents. Lexi was very excited about all the gifts.

Then we went outside and painted everyone's toes. Tyson was supposed to help me with that part but Lexi was the only one who trusted his painting abilities enough to let him do it. He's actually pretty good at toe painting though. It was fun to have girls from our old neighborhood, Lexi's old school and the new neighborhood girls too. Lexi really is a friend magnet. She can make friends with anyone.

Then on her real birthday - Monday - we had Grandpa Bill and Grandma Susan up to visit. We went to dinner at Lexi's favorite Chinese place. Then later my Dad was able to come up too. We love Birthdays!

Happy Birthday Lexi. Such a fun party theme. Don't be supprised if I borrow it someday.
cute cake, theme and its funny how nobody would let Tyson paint but Lexi. I laughed out loud. Ha.
