Price Unplugged: Splash, Soccer, Sheep, & S'more!

We are still having lots of fun earning our brag tags for the Price Unplugged program. Last week I mentioned that we had participated in an epic community water balloon war (#36,) but the pictures were still on Tyson's camera. I spent 3 hours that day filling and tying water balloons with a group of other volunteers. We figure we had at least 3000 water balloons ready by the time the crowds showed up. Three hours to fill them all up and only 15 minutes to explode them all, but it was worth it because it was so much fun. This was definitely an activity for the memory books! For future reference Kaos brand water balloons are the only way to go.  They filled up and tied so much easier than any of the others we used!

I was very glad to see that Wash the Car (#37) was one of the activities on our Price Unplugged list! My van was in desperate need of a wash and it was nice that the kids were actually excited to do it. Now it looks so shiny and clean and they have a brag tag to prove they have car washing skills!

It wouldn't be a summer bucket list if you didn't make S'mores (#56)! We just made ours in the microwave though. Maybe that was cheating, but we aren't too big on camping and we don't have a fire pit so we did it city slicker style! And guess what....they taste great this way too!

A few nights ago we took a family drive out to East Carbon/Sunnyside to see the herd of big horn sheep (#83). Luckily Lexi spotted them right off and we didn't have to drive around much looking for them. We then were able to hike a little way up the hill to get a closer look.  They are quite tame and just stood there and stared at us.  Tyson was able to get up pretty close to take a lot of great pictures. Then we went and played at one of the parks in town. The kids have been begging to go back because it was such a cool park, so we are planning a trip to go ride the bike trail and have a picnic in the park.

Today we got our Soccer 3 on 3 (#26) brag tags by participating in a tournament put on by Price Chapel. Each kid got to play 3-4 short (10 minute) games. Garrett's team won the championship. Drake's team got 2nd and Lexi and Zac's teams got just as many popsicles so they were happy with that!

Summer is flying by and we are making the most of every minute!
