A Fun Run and Three Dozen Worms!

Last weekend the kids participated in a 1 mile fun run that was organized by some of the girls in Zac's 4th grade class. It was such a cute idea. Each kid had to pay $1 as a fundraiser for the Food Bank. Zac ended up taking 2nd place. He was in the lead the whole time until the final sprint but just didn't quite keep his lead. He ran the mile in 8:30 though, so that was pretty impressive. I wish I was that fast! Drake was not very far behind, especially considering he ran it in his new sandals! Lexi was either being sweet and stayed back with Garrett or she was looking for a good excuse to rest for a bit. Either way, it was nice of her to motivate Garrett to the finish line. After the race they had a drawing for some prizes. Zac won a USU Eastern T-shirt that will probably fit him in about 10 years and Lexi won three dozen worms. That's right....worms! Isn't that just the coolest race prize imaginable! (You have to remember this event was put together by three 10 years olds!)
