More Price Unplugged Summer Fun!

We are still going strong on our Price Unplugged bucket list. It is such a great list because pretty much everything on there is a way to spend quality time with your kids, and who doesn't love that! Plus, it's helping to keep our summer interesting and fun and we are always planning the next adventure. Yesterday we earned our Mountain Bike a Trail badge (#8) by doing a 6.7 mile ride from our house out to Pinnacle Peak, then to the Fairgrounds and back home. We had a very strong headwind for the first half of the ride (the part that was uphill, of course!) Doing an Epic bike ride every summer has been a family tradition for the past several years. This is the first time we have all gone though because until now Garrett and Drake weren't quite big enough to make it that far, so I always stayed home with them. We only had one crash (Garrett,) but he didn't get hurt too badly. Then when we went into the bike shop to get their brag tag they gave him a bumper sticker for being so tough! After our ride we went to Wendy's and got ice cream. A little while later I couldn't find Drake so I went on a search and found him asleep on the trampoline! It must have been a pretty hard ride for his little legs and it wore him right out!

We also completed the activity Go to the Dinomine Park (# 92) not that we probably needed a list to tell us to do that, but it's fun to be able to cross off one more thing.

Last night the kids decided to sleep out on the trampoline for the first time and were able to complete Go Stargazing (#78) and Play Night Games (#46) Tyson didn't actually sleep out there with them but he looks cute in the picture anyway. Lexi made it until about midnight (it was pretty chilly) and Garrett came in around 2:00.  Drake and Zac made it the whole night though.

We also completed our Reading Tag (#6) this week by reading to a librarian at the Price City Library. I don't have a picture but we also had a family BBQ (#49) this week.

Aside from doing the Price Unplugged activities the kids have also been playing TONS of board games. Clue, Monopoly, Stratego, Life, Sorry, Blink, you name it and they've probably played it during the past few weeks! I should probably add that they have done so with very few fights which seems like a miracle to me. I remember playing board games with my big brother when we were kids and I don't remember many of those times ending very well! (It was, of course, his fault because he liked to make really disgusting noises the whole time until I would go crazy and stomp out of the room!)
And since today was Father's Day we took a few pictures of the kids with their daddy. He is a great dad and we love him a lot! What a good looking bunch these guys are! We made him Bisquits & Gravy with sausage and eggs for dinner. Yep, dinner.

And then there was the phase of "Drake and the Mustache" this week! He wore this thing around for days and when the sticky part finally wore off he used duct tape. Garrett accidentally threw it away one day when he was doing chores and Drake was so sad that Garrett dug it out of the trash can for him! What a silly, cute, kid!
