Logan Trip #1

This week we had the chance to go up to Logan for a few days of a mini vacation. Tyson goes up there each year for work related workshops at Utah State University. So the kids and I go and we do our school shopping and spend the days playing while poor ol' dad sits in meetings all day! This year we decided to make a few fun stops on our way up to Logan. First, we stopped by Thanksgiving point for a few hours. They were having their Two Buck Tuesday event so there were a lot of people there because the entrance fee was so cheap. But we still enjoyed ourselves despite the crowds. We made sure to stop by the gift shop to buy some of their delicious fudge before heading over to see the exhibits in the Museum of Ancient Life.

Then we had lunch at Crown Burger in Layton before going to see the Hill Aerospace Museum. Every year when we go up there we pass the museum and say "we ought to go there" but......we never have. It was a really cool museum! We all loved looking at the planes and reading about various war heroes. The kids also loved dressing up as pilots and playing on the flight simulators in the ACE Learning Center. We spent almost three hours there! Then we headed on to Logan to get checked into our hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening of watching cable TV! Yes, it is that exciting to people who have never had cable!
