Leafy Days of Autumn

No one seems to appreciate Fall leaves quite like cute little 11 year old boys! They have played in them for hours and hours this week. Tyson let them use the leaf blowers and they had a lot of fun and were able to make a huge pile pretty quickly. We cut down most of our big trees last summer but we still have one really huge one, plus the leaves that blow down from the neighbor's house, so there's plenty to play in. After Drake and Garrett blew all the leaves into a pile they had the idea of making it into a leaf fort. Their first fort they just used a few sticks and a couple of rakes and it was pretty cool. The next day however, they decide to up their game and made a deluxe version! This one had wooden walls and a ceiling and was about twice as big....big enough to fit too adorable boys! Lexi even helped them with their design for a little while. Then they wanted to invite friends over to have a laser tag war so they could use their fort as a base. They are sure creative, fun little guys!

Tyson, Lexi and Zac also got in on the leaf gathering activity and have most of it ready to haul off to the dump tomorrow. Unfortunately, it appears that 13 year old boys have lost their enthusiasm for playing in the leaves!
