Lexi is nearing the end of her 8th grade volleyball season. She has really enjoyed it and has improved a lot. She has practice each morning at 5:30 a.m. and she has never complained....Tyson and I complain a bit about having to take her though! Today they had a tournament where she played 6 games in a row, with only a one hour break for lunch. She was pretty darn tired by the end, but she played so incredibly well! It was really fun to watch her! She is the tallest one on her team and plays the front row where she switches into middle hitter position each serve. I was super impressed with how well she played today and she didn't have hardly any errors. She made some amazing saves and got in a lot of good hits. And she got her first ever solid block! I think it actually surprised her a bit when the ball hit her hands and went straight to the floor on her opponents side of the net. She is playing on a B team and most of the other teams were A teams which gave them some serious competition. They lost the first few games but they managed to put a little fear into those other teams! They ended up playing the #1 seed team for their final game and came so close to beating them! In the end, they got 3rd place (out of five teams,) so not too shabby. I'm glad she's found a sport that she's really passionate about! We sure love our little volleyball girl!
