Zac's 11th Birthday!

On May 1st Zac celebrated his 11th birthday! A few days before the big day he told me he wanted a friend party (he had previously said he didn't but changed his mind!) so we hurried and sent out some invitations and did an impromptu party. We kept it pretty simple and it worked out great. His friends Jackson G., Jackson S., D.J., Nathan, Pierce, and Garrett all came. They played soccer, ate pizza and cake and ice cream, opened presents, and some of them played LIFE while others played FIFA 14 on the Playstation. Jackson Smith was also able to sleep over. It was Zac's first sleepover. They were funny though because they made sure to go to bed around midnight so they would have enough energy for their soccer games the next morning! These boys are dedicated!

We gave Zac a rather random assortment of things.  He had been asking for goalie gloves and luckily his hands are the same size as mine, so I was able to get the right ones without him knowing about them. We also bought him the board game LIFE because he really likes the Ipad version but wanted the board game because it's a little different.  He is really into soccer these days so we got him the FIFA 14 Playstation game too. And he got a block target for his archery practice which will be a lot better than trying to use a cardboard box! He was a pretty happy boy!

Presents that Zac got from his friends included a soccer ball (of course!) soccer socks, a nerf blow dart gun, a lego set, and cash.  The card that Nathan gave Zac made everybody laugh because it played music and had a dancing chicken on the inside.

UPDATE: I forgot to mention when I originally posted this blog entry that Zac was the lucky winner of the Coldstone & KRPX radio birthday Ice Cream Cake! Lexi reminded me to call the radio station on his birthday. They announced his birthday on the radio and then they do a drawing for the cake with all the names that were called in during the week. Zac was the winner for the week! He picked a Mint Chocolate Chip cake.

Memorable Moment: On May 6th Tyson and I celebrated our 15 year anniversary! Yay! Go Us! We went over to Orem for the day to shop and eat yummy food at Golden Corral.
