Heaton Basketball Camp

Last week we went down to my parents house for our big family get together (my mom's side of the family). We spent 6 days there playing with cousins (they're actually my cousins, my children's second cousins). It was lots of fun!

Zac and Lexi went to Basketball Camp Monday through Friday mornings for three hours each day. They learned some really great skills and can even dribble between their legs now! I'm proud of them for not giving up! It's really hard work and you have to wake up at 6:30 every morning, but they never complained even once.

This is just the younger group of our basketball players. The teenagers were all at camp when we took this picture.
Drake and Garrett got to go to the Tiny Tots camp on Thursday. It lasts for about 30 minutes and seems to be the highlight of their summer! They were so stinkin' cute!

We also reserved the swimming pool for two nights. I'm glad there was a lifeguard on duty to jump in and rescue my little Garrett (who knows that he has to wear a life jacket in the big pool, but decided to see if he could get away with out it. I really hope he learned his lesson!)

My grandma is very creative, which is probably why grandpa calls her Grandma Creation. So of course we did some crafts. Here she's showing Garrett how to paint a rock to look like a ladybug.

On Wednesday we decided to sneak away from all of the chaos and go fishing and have a picnic with my dad. We went to Tropic Reservoir by Bryce Canyon. We didn't catch any fish and it was really windy but we enjoyed the day anyway.

My brother, Gerry, let us stay in his camp trailer for the week which was really great. It was nice to have a place to get away to! (I love my relatives, but sometimes you need to be able to hear yourself think!)

Unfortunately Tyson had to miss out because he started teaching his summer classes last week. So we were glad to get back home to see him! Now we have to start back over with the kids asking me "how much longer before we get to go back to Basketball Camp?!"
