This past weekend was International Days. My kids look forward to this event all year long! We started out with getting a few totally wicked tattoos!
Then we did some fishing. I'm always amazed that my kids can remember what they got out of the fish pond two years ago. To me it's just plastic junk, but they think it's amazing!
Then we spent some time on the inflatable toys. They loved going down the slide.
And the obstacle course is always a hit.
Then we decided to do a little rock climbing. At first Zac wasn't sure he wanted to try it. He ended up making it clear to the top without any trouble!
Lexi also made it clear to the top on the hardest side....while wearing flip-flops! I thought she was going to do it bare foot and then I noticed she'd forgotten to take them off.
Then we got a slushie to cool off. It was a pretty hot day! Probably the first really hot day of the summer, in my opinion.
Then in the afternoon we went to watch the skateboarding competition because Tyson wanted to practice some action photography with his new camera. I kind of hope none of my kids want to become skateboarders, that's a pretty rough crowd! (by the way, I have no idea who this kid is, but he was pretty good even though he was the youngest one there)
Later that night we went to the park to watch How To Train Your Dragon. We hadn't ever gone to the movie in the park before. It was fun!
These next three pictures are from the next day at the parade. The kids were still pretty exhausted from staying up so late to watch the movie in the park. Not even candy could really excite them that morning!
By the end of the International Days fun it was starting to feel more like International Daze! But we always love it and can't wait until next year!
