Zion National Park

On the second day of our Spring Break vacation we went to Zion National Park....with everyone else in the whole world! Not only was it Easter Weekend but also one of the few Free National Park Fee days. It was so crazy busy! I have never seen it like that before. The trails honestly reminded me of the scenes you see in movies of people walking on New York City sidewalks! Luckily we had planned well and we had my dad drop us off and then just called him to come pick us up when we were done. Otherwise I don't think it would have been possible to even find a place to park. We started out our adventure by having a picnic on the lawn near the lodge and then we hiked the Emerald Pools trail which is a little over 3 miles round trip. After that we rode the shuttle to the museum and watched a little video about Zion while we waited for my dad to pick us up. It was a really nice day for a hike despite the crowds!
