Our Lexi girl has officially turned 14! We pretty much had a birthday celebration week. It started off with a Saturday trip with just Lexi and Mom to go up north for some school clothes shopping. Then on her actual birthday we went to Coldstone for ice cream and opened presents at home. She got a cute white denim vest, black combat boots, a Greek Mythology book and two Bath and Body Works body sprays. Not pictured is some volleyball gear that hasn't arrived yet, a hoodie, knee pads, shoes, shorts and a t-shirt.
Last Friday we had a little birthday party for her. Only three of her friends were able to make it but we still had a great time. Tyson grilled burgers and hot dogs for a little BBQ and I made side dishes to go with it. Then they played some party games that you use the Playstation and your smartphone or Ipad to answer trivia type questions. It's a really fun pack of five different games called Jackbox games. They really seemed to get into it and had fun.
They took a break from the playing the game for a bit so we could eat some delicious Oreo cake and Cookies and Cream ice cream. Then she opened presents. Meghan gave her a gift card that can be used anywhere like a credit card. Torie gave her a fun water bottle that says "I run like a girl, try to keep up" (She can run a mile in under 8 minutes!) and a gift card to Rue 21. And Mikey gave her a shirt that says "The Wand Chooses the Wizard" and some candy.
We finished out her birthday week by letting her choose where we went to eat when we were in Orem on Saturday for Zac's first soccer game. She chose Denny's because she wanted pancakes. Lexi is such a wonderful girl and we are so lucky to have her. Happy Birthday Lexi!
