Talented Lexi

I know my last post was all about how awesome my Lexi girl is, but it turns out there's always more bragging necessary when this girl is your daughter! She's such a smart and talented girl! A couple of weeks ago we found out she was one 6 winners of an essay contest. All the fourth graders in the city competed in the contest.  She got to go read her essay to the Mayor and the City Council. She was a little nervous but did an awesome job. They gave her a radio/CD player as a reward. She was very excited about that!

Last month we also got to take her to a tumbling meet. This was the first time she's been to a meet. She's been tumbling for 2 1/2 years but never done it for a competition. Even this was technically a practice meet. She competed with a floor routine, double mini, and trampoline.  This picture is from her double-mini routine (she did not bite her tongue on the landing!).  She got a first place medal for this pass.

Her trampoline pass was awesome.  She does a complete front flip and lands on her feet at the end!  She took second place on tramp.

She's such a cool kid! And she loves tumbling!
