Christmas

Sometimes you buy your kids Christmas presents you think they are going to love and then they barely even notice them. Other times you buy gifts that are such a huge hit you keep getting hugs and thank yous over and over for days. Well, this year we really hit the nail on the head, so to speak. All the kids were so amazed and happy and it was really a fun day! We also had Tyson's parents and his brother with us which is always nice.

We always open one of Grandma Debbie's presents on Christmas Eve (PJs). If the kids look a little dopey it's because we've just gotten home from a long day in Provo and a Christmas Eve Party with Tyson's cousins and it was way past bedtime. They were all asleep in the car and we made them open their presents even though all they wanted to do was go to their beds. Zac was so sleepy he tried to go from the car to the shed instead of into the house when we got home!
Zac was so happy!  He had asked for an Ipod and we kept telling him he was too young for one.  We also got him a Snap Circuits set where you do projects using electrical components.  He really loved that!  The Ripstick was a gift from Uncle Shay (Tyson's brother) who loves to spoil our kids.
Garrett really wanted a remote control car and this one turned out to be super amazing!  Tyson actually played with Drake and Garrett's cars by himself a few days before Christmas and he had a really fun time with them.  Garrett also got trains and Uncle Shay gave him the bike.
Drake really loves trains and Cars so he was excited for his Geo Trax set.  Up until Christmas we had to bribe Drake to want to practice riding his bike but not anymore.  We couldn't hardly get him to come in all Christmas Day!

Lexi also got a bike but we didn't bring it in the house for pictures.  She got a Jewelry box, some jewelry and a Barbie styling head.  She also got Lego Harry Potter years 5-7 for the Playstation and a Bop It game from Uncle Shay and a Monopoly game (which she and Grandpa played for about 5 hours on Christmas day!)

Tyson and I got ourselves Vibram Five Finger shoes.  I know they look sort of funny but we love them for our workouts.  I use mine to do Tae Bo and Tyson plays Racquetball in his.  We also got plenty of gift cards and cash.  Tyson added his cash to his camera fund (yes, he has his eye on the Unicorn of all cameras)  I'm trying to decide what to buy with mine. Pink boxing gloves?  Books? Clothes?
Since I'm awful about sending out Christmas Cards this is us belatedly wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
