First we went to the college Multicultural event featuring Native American dancers from a neighboring school that is located near the Indian reservation. Their outfits/regalia (it's actually offensive to call them "costumes") were quite impressive. The kids seemed to like the loud music too.

The second event was the Eastern Utah Wind Symphony. I started worrying about my kids behaving themselves after about 5 minutes in our seats. Zac had immediately turned his program into a paper airplane and Drake was loudly announcing that he "needed to go poop!" Luckily, no one but me can understand him still so it was all good.
I was surprised by how big the symphony group was and how well they played. My high school orchestra teacher, Mrs. Lamb, would have been in tears. I thoroughly enjoyed it, even though Drake and Garrett were both sitting on my lap with their hands over their ears. Maybe sophistication and refinement are something that has to be acquired with age!

The conductor of this group is Greg Benson who was the one primarily responsible for hiring Tyson almost two years ago.

We get similar results if our 3 yr old attends. I don't know why but we have not banned her yet from cultural events. Great photos.
You are one brave momma! Seriously, they covered their ears during the wind symphony? that's hilarious.
Tyson is so talented.
