The second day we were in Layton we hit up the Newgate Mall to do some school shopping and to get Lexi a second ear piercing which is what she wanted for her upcoming birthday. You'd think my children had never been in a mall before...oh..wait...maybe they really haven't! We aren't really big Mall people so it really was quite an adventure. First the boys had to go a little crazy in the play area. Luckily, there were no little kids in there to get trampled.
Then we went to the Piercing Pagoda to get Lexi's ears pierced. She didn't even cry or show any signs of it hurting other than a slight narrowing and then widening of the eyes!
I think the most fun part of the whole day was letting the kids sit in the massage chairs! They giggled and laughed and squirmed the whole time. Probably the best spent $4 we spent on our whole vacation!
We hit up sales at Aeropostle, Burlington Coat Factory, Payless and Hot Topic among others. Lexi had purchased her Guns and Roses shirt the day before and Tyson found one too so they could be twinners! We also found jeans at Aeropostle that I think Zac might actually wear (crossing my fingers! He doesn't like jeans very much!) and he bought several shirts with what he calls "frockets," also known as shirts with Front Pockets. He's apparently stepping up his apparel game for 8th grade where before he would only wear dri-fit athletic clothes.
Our last stop was to the food court for some huge servings of Nachos. They were pretty yummy! I've never liked Mall shopping much but going there with my kids proved to be a pretty fun time!
