Real Salt Lake vs FC Dallas

On Saturday (Tyson and I's 17th Anniversary!) we had the opportunity to go to the Real Salt Lake professional soccer game with other members of our Price Youth Soccer Association. We ended up getting to the game way too early because we thought other things we'd planned for the day would take longer. Oh well...we got to be the first ones in the stands and watch the place fill up...for an hour and a half! We got discounted tickets to the game and the boys got to run out on the field before the game with the other PYSA players. Each of the kids got bobbleheads of Javier Morales and RSL towels. RSL lost to FC Dallas by 3 points but it was still a fun game to watch. We were close to one of the goals so we got to see a lot of really awesome plays and goalie saves. The weather before the game was looking pretty rainy and windy but it magically cleared up just before the game and it turned out to be a perfect night. Before the game we went to the Scheel's pregame party where we were able to meet members of the Monarchs (the RSL minor league team) and two RSL players. They all signed pictures for the boys. Garrett also got his RSL hat signed. They had free food and prizes at the pregame party and we won enough coupons to Jersey Mike's Subs that we probably put them out of business when we went there to eat after Scheels! It was a really fun day!

While we were at Scheels we let the kids ride the Ferris Wheel. They'd never done that before.

The day after the game Drake made a cool display stand out of Legos for his autographed photos. I thought it was pretty creative!
