She Made the Team!

We are so proud of Lexi for making it on the Mont Harmon Middle School's volleyball team! They had a very serious round of tryouts and made lots of cuts but Lexi was able to hang in there. I knew those long legs couldn't be for nothing! Being on the team has been very time consuming (two hour practices every day!) and physically exhausting but she is sticking with it and still making sure to get all her homework done every day too.   Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Gerry sent her money for her birthday and she used it to buy these really cute warmups. She chose to be lucky #13 this year. Her uniform also has her last name on the back....without all the necessary P's, but that's okay!  She rotates in to play the three front row positions as a hitter, which makes me happy because I always wanted to be a hitter! Alas, I didn't have the height for it, but luckily Lexi's got her dad's genes in that department!

The Mont Harmon Pirates have played almost half their season and are still undefeated! They have a cute little rhythm cheer they pound out on the floor before and after the game. Lexi is loving being on the team! It has made her middle school experience more memorable and fun and it's fun for us to get to watch her play! Go Pirates!
