Lego Club

For the past five weeks Drake and Garrett have been part of a Lego Club at their school. They meet every Friday after school for an hour and a half (next week is their last week.) They had to apply to be in the group and then their names were drawn. They had 60 kids who wanted to do it, but could only take 20. Drake and Garrett were very excited they were chosen to participate! This group goes way beyond just playing with Legos. They are actually learning how to put together models with gears, motors and various other moving parts. They also have to test their finished project and do worksheets so they will understand why things work rather than just learn how to put them together. This is exactly the kind of thing that Drake and Garrett love to do! Just one more reason I love our school. They really go above and beyond to provide exceptional learning opportunities.
